Biography

Dr. Laurie Tedder Campbell grew up in Cherryville, North Carolina and graduated Valedictorian from Cherryville High School in 2000. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2004.

Upon completion of her dental education, Dr. Laurie entered private practice in Chicago, Illinois, gaining experience working alongside a former president of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She and her husband relocated to Charleston, South Carolina when her husband was accepted into a dental specialty program at MUSC. While they loved Charleston, both Dr. Laurie and her husband were drawn to Charlotte upon completion of his training. Dr. Laurie is excited to be coming home, both to her family and Laxer, Long and Savage.

Education

Following college, Dr. Laurie worked for Laxer, Long and Savage as a dental assistant intern where she developed her passion for working with children. She then attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and graduated summa cum laude with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in May 2009. She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society as recognition for her excellence in scholarship and character. She then furthered her dental education, obtaining a Master of Science degree and certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Kentucky.

Board Certifications

Dr. Laurie is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. She is also a board certified pediatric dentist and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She received the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award for scoring in the top 3% on the comprehensive written American Board of Pediatric Dentistry exam.

Research

Dr. Laurie enjoys attempting to cook, traveling, playing Xbox, and spending time with her family and friends.
